Center for Sepsis Control and Care
The Center for Sepsis Control and Care (CSCC) at the University Hospital Jena and the Medical Faculty of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena is one of eight integrated research and treatment centres in Germany that are funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The research interests of CSCC cover all stages of the sepsis disease: from prevention and diagnosis to intensive care and rehabilitation. At the same time new structures are being created to strengthen the patient-oriented, cutting-edge research and to improve their quality and promote young scientists. Physicians and scientists at all stages of their careers are carrying out interdisciplinary work with clinics and institutes of the University Hospital Jena. In doing so, they also benefit from the close networking of the CSCC with other research institutions in Jena.
