S3 Platform MedTech × Vanguard Initiative Smart Health Pilot

On 22 and 23 September 2026, representatives of European MedTech and health innovation regions will meet in Jena for a joint on-site meeting of the S3 Platform MedTech and the Vanguard Initiative Smart Health Pilot. The meeting aims to strengthen links between regional innovation ecosystems, further develop joint project ideas, and identify concrete funding and investment opportunities.
The one-and-a-half-day programme includes presentations of projects and regional networks, working sessions on new cooperation and funding opportunities, as well as visits to Jena’s health innovation ecosystem. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing joint project concepts, identifying suitable partners, and agreeing on concrete next steps.
On the second day, Dr Jens Hellwage will present the InfectoGnostics Research Campus in the session “Regional MedTech Networks” as an example of a regionally embedded network for the development and translation of innovative diagnostic technologies.
