The aim of the project is the development of a test for the rapid detection and characterization of sepsis-relevant pathogens with the focus on the detection of fungi by analyzing specific DNA sequences. The detection is to be realized by the parallel readout of a microarray based on localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). A demonstrator with all necessary components will also be developed to test the device on clinical samples.
