The conference is themed ”Point-of-Care Testing at the Interface of Emerging Technologies and New Clinical Applications“ and organized by the working group POCT of the German Society of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL), the Heinz-Nixdorf-Chair of Biomedical Electronics and the Institute for Clinical Chemistry and Pathobiochemistry, both Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich. The venue will be again the campus of the Klinikum rechts der Isar. The congress languages are both German and English.
350–400 attendees are expected for the three-day scientific program. Additionally, there will be an ePoster exposition. Adjacent to the conference, there will also be an industrial expo with more than 30 IVD companies.
