InfectoGnostics goes Europe: Research Campus promotes advancement of photonics in medicine

The InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena is an important driver of the Smart Specialization Platform (S3) "European Photonics Alliance". As a result, the network has become a member of the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) in March, increasing its visibility in Europe. The two platforms strengthen the competitiveness of Europe as a technology location and promote transnational cooperation between technology centers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in Europe.

As part of the development of the S3 platform "European Photonics Alliance (EPA)", the InfectoGnostics Research Campus also joined the ECCP in March. The two European platforms provide an important starting point for the Research Campus to network with other European clusters, thus intensifying the collaboration of public research in technology centers with small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) from all over Europe. Within the EPA, InfectoGnostics will build the Healthcare pilot area, working with partners from France, Poland, Sweden and Spain to significantly shape the EPA's strategic Healthcare agenda. The strategy development takes place in close coordination with the specialization strategy RIS3 Thüringen and in cooperation with the other Thuringian clusters and the Thuringian Cluster Management (ThCM) of the state development agency (LEG) Thuringia.
