The Council of Germany's BioRegions (Ak BioRegio) gathered in Cologne on January 19 and 20, 2024 for a strategy meeting to reflect on past activities and discuss future requirements for the mode of cooperation, funding issues and its most important future fields of action. The participants, consisting of cluster managers / cluster developers from all over Germany, exchanged their experiences and discussed how the BioRegions can further increase their innovative strength through the activities of the clusters. It was a very open and productive exchange that set the course for continued successful cooperation and the future development of the BioRegions as innovation centers. Dr. Julia Schaft from BioRN Life Science Cluster Rhine-Neckar and Dr. Jens Hellwage from InfectoGnostics Research Campus chaired the working group meeting. The highly appreciated financial and organizational support from BIO.NRW in Cologne made it possible to hold the meeting effectively and in a pleasant atmosphere.
