The German Biotechnology Days (DBT) 2024 took place on April 16 and 17 in Berlin. The event is the national forum for the German biotechnology sector, where entrepreneurs can exchange ideas with scientists and partners from politics, funding institutions and administration. The two-day program highlighted the diverse fields of application and the potential of biotechnology - from health research to the bioeconomy. The German Biotechnology Days are organized by BIO Deutschland and the Working Group of German BioRegions.
- InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena was present at a joint stand with the Leibniz Health Technologies Research Alliance. Some of our research campus partners were actively involved in the DBT program and also represented at the booth:
- Dynamic42 GmbH
(Presentation on Wednesday, 17.04.24, 11:30 a.m., Dr. Martin Raasch: Possibilities and limits of organ-on-chip technology as a replacement for animal experiments) - oncgnostics GmbH (presenting Molecular biological tests based on epigenetic biomarkers that enable early, reliable and rapid cancer diagnostics)
- DeepEn GmbH
A brandnew spin-off from Leibniz IPHT also presented itself at the joint stand via the Leibniz Health Technologies research network:
(Contribution on Wednesday, 17.04.24, 8 a.m.: Presentation by Patrick Westermann at the Science Slam "EXIST - Start-ups from Science")
The visibility of Thuringian biotechnology was also supported by the Thuringian Cluster Management of LEG, which had a stand directly opposite the event.
The entire program, which once again highlighted current trends as well as problems in biotechnology, can be found at: https://www.biotechnologietage.de/de/programmuebersicht.html
