We started with an IP workshop by PATON (Landespatentzentrum Thüringen), the startups introduced themselves and their founding story. We toured the labs of BLINK AG and talked in detail with the founders about entrepreneurship and the choice between academic and entrepreneurial careers. On the second day, we discussed essential elements of a business plan using the Business Model Canvas method. The Early Stage Researchers from six European TIPAT sites created canvas models of their PhD projects with the support of our colleagues from the K1 Startup Service at FSU Jena.
