Der nächste Jahreskongress der Initiative Biotechnologie 2020+ findet vom 11. bis 12. Oktober 2016 statt. Die Leibniz-Gemeinschaft lädt alle Akteure nach Jena – ins Leibniz-Institut für Naturstoff-Forschung und Infektionsbiologie, Hans Knöll-Institut (HKI). Der Kongress steht diesmal unter dem Motto "From biofactories to cell-free systems: Novel ways of BioProcess design". Am Abend des 11. Oktober ist zudem eine öffentliche Podiumsdiskussion geplant. Thema: "Biotechnologie 2.0 - Brauchen wir noch Zellen?"
